Welcome to Recognita Plus for DOS and Windows, version 2.00.C63
15/June/1993
Re: Using Recognita Plus 2.0 (RP) on a Local Area Network
This Single User version of Recognita Plus allows you to run the
program from a single workstation at a time. Anyway it is also
possible to use Recognita Plus from multiple workstations. If you
want to do so, please consult your local dealer for getting a
Multi User Licence and technical description.

on the interface card.

the Setup program.
Re: Recognizing Faxed Documents
Reading fax files:
Enabling Recognita's FAX button slightly modifies the recognition
algorithm optimizing it for reading low resolution ("Standard" mode)
faxes. This option is not necessary for faxes transmitted in "Fine"
mode. Running Recognita with the FAX button switched on may even
decrease recognition accuracy when reading non-fax or "Fine" mode fax
documents. So be careful. If you are not sure what mode the fax file
is transmitted in you could try both settings.
Recognita Plus supports the following fax image file formats:
TIFF G3, G4
PCX
Microtek
Faxline (LightFax)
Brooktrout
Reading fax printouts:
If you want to read a fax printout scanning it again use 300 dpi
resolution and turn the FAX button ON even for "Fine" mode faxes!
Re: Running Recognita Plus for DOS in a DR-DOS environment
Super PC-Kwik Version 4.04 used by DR-DOS is not compatible with the
PharLap DOS Extender. If you have any problems running RECOGN under DR-DOS
disable PC-Kwik. You may write a batch file which disables PC-Kwik, runs
RECOGN then re-enables PC-Kwik. For example:
SUPERPCK /U
RECOGN
SUPERPCK /A+
